หาดทรายดำ อ.แหลมงอบ จ.ตราด เป็นหาดทรายดำ ที่พบได้แห่งเดียวในประเทศไทย และทั่วโลกนั้นพบเพียงไม่กี่แห่ง โดยปกติหาดทรายดำในโลก จะเป็นทรายที่เกิดจากลาวาภูเขาไฟไหลไปในน้ำทะเล และถูกน้ำทะเลกัดเซาะพัดพาเข้ามาชายฝั่ง แต่ของไทยนั้น ไม่เหมือนที่ใดในโลก เพราะเกิดจากกระบวนการทางเคมี ทำให้หินแร่ผุพังกลายเป็นทรายละเอียดสีดำ
